Meet Diane Sanders, LHMC

and Discover the Possibilities of Caring, Solution-Oriented Therapy

Gay, lesbian and transgender men and women deserve a dedicated mental health professional. In my practice, I offer well-founded psychotherapeutic techniques to overcome the emotional suffering of adults and teens with anxiety, stress, trauma, loss, depression, self-harm, phobias and addiction. My goal is sustained long-term improvement in individuals suffering from a wide variety of psychological difficulties including bipolar, impulse control and obsessive-compulsive disorders. I am particularly passionate about LGBTQIA+ life issues in today’s challenging world.

In addition to my focus on LGBTQ persons, I provide the unique benefits of EMDR therapy for all those suffering from phobias and stress-related conditions such as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and panic attacks. EMDR can be a very efficient technique to help with these issues, with results often achieved quickly.

I offer individual and group therapy at my office in West Palm Beach. I foster a trusting, dependable relationship nurtured in a secure therapeutic environment.

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barry University and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from Nova Southeastern University, both with honors. I received advanced training at the Fort Lauderdale Hospital, a dedicated mental health facility serving a wide range of disorders in people of all ages. I have been a volunteer at Inspire Recovery, an LGBT rehabilitation facility in West Palm Beach.

I am licensed in the State of Florida (LMHC - FL Lisc. #19011). I am also a member of the American Counseling Association, the Florida Psychoanalytic Society, the Southeastern Florida Association for Psychoanalytic Psychology, the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County and WPATH, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.

You Deserve a life worth living!

Sometimes what we fear the most is what we need to do the most. If you are reading this and you are feeling hopeless, defeated, tired, or simply need to talk things through, I am here to hold that "space" for you. It's ok to be scared, feel weird or be confused, we will figure it out together!

As a Therapist or Life Coach, I will be a container for what you don't dare let out into the world. We can do this in many different ways; remotely, in-office, WALKING & TALKING and/or other movement related activities (i.e., sport of your choice). The WALK/TALK combo has shown to increase creativity, self-awareness, emotional awareness and other positive therapy outcomes. When we are more open and more relaxed, it helps us access deeper parts of ourselves and our emotions, the layers of ourselves that we often don't have the opportunity to experience otherwise.

If you are ready to take the next "steps" towards healing, growing or finding your life purpose-let's talk today!

I received an MA of Professional Studies Human Relations, Mental Health Counseling from the New York Institute of Technology. I was a Mental Health Specialist with Compass Community Center, an LGBT Community Center in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, FL.

I am licensed in the State of Florida (LMHC - FL Lisc. #MH7349). I have over 20 years of expertise in LGBTQ Populations, domestic violence awareness and education, additions, ADHD, and total wellness.
